Stephen Manuel studied directing at the Film Academy Baden -Württemberg before he got "discovered" by German late night talk show host "Harald Schmidt" as a director for his show. Round about 100 short parody and comedy sketches later, he started directing commercials and action TV series.
For commercials he specializes in celebrity, comedy and storytelling work. As a result of his experience in movies he developed a sharp ear for dialogue and timing.
On movies and TV series, he has worked mainly in the action, thriller, comedy and Sci-Fi genres with stars like Billy Zane, Corey Feldman, Stephen Baldwin and Wotan Wilke-Möhring.
Stephen Manuel was born in Dublin/Ireland but raised bilingually in Germany and lives in Cologne.
